Description

Full Time Medical Assistant needed to Float within a large multi-specialty Orthopedic Clinic in North OKC

Monday-Friday, no weekends or major holidays

 

Responsibilities

  • Room and interview patients and documenting history
  • Take vitals
  • Triage patient calls 
  • Charting in EHR (Epic) and processing any paperwork to check out to include Work Comp Form 5's, referrals, prescriptions
  • Help guide patients throughout the clinic
  • Casting, bracing, and removing sutures 
  • Some front desk coverage as needed and other duties as assigned 

Requirements

  • One year clinic experience preferred
  • Experience in an orthopedic surgeons office a plus
  • Experience with Epic electronic health records and phlebotomy experience are preferred
  • Worker's Compensation experience is preferred as it is a large part of the patient population
  • Experience with casting and bracing is preferred, or must be willing to train
  • Must be a positive team player who is organized, self motivated, dependable and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Must be dependable, flexible and able to adapt to multiple providers' clinical needs and expectations
  • Must be able to work well within a team environment
  • High School Graduate or equivalent required (GED)
