Cortez Foot & Ankle Specialists, a division of US Foot & Ankle Specialists, is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our podiatry clinic. This role focuses on hands-on patient care and assisting with in-office procedures in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
- No weekends
- Hands-on training provided
- Stable, outpatient clinic setting
Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Room patients, take vital signs, and update medical history in EMR
- Assist physicians with procedures including wound care, injections, and post-op care
- Perform digital X-rays and assist with podiatric services (nail care, diabetic shoe fittings)
- Apply dressings, strappings, and durable medical equipment (DME)
- Process lab specimens, prescriptions, and insurance verifications
- Answer patient questions, schedule appointments, and support front desk as needed
- Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize instruments
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant program completion or 1+ year of clinical experience
- CMA or RMA preferred
- Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology
- Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient clinic
