Your responsibilities will include taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and ensuring that examination rooms are clean and fully stocked with necessary medical supplies. Adhering to infection control practices will be essential in maintaining a safe environment for both patients and staff. Familiarity with computer programs, especially NEXTGEN, is preferred, as you will assist in documenting patient information.Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage in various clinical tasks, such as performing EKGs, aiding in spirometry, and assisting with minor surgical procedures, including immunizations and wound care. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with preferred experience in a medical office or training as a Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant. You must possess the ability to accurately take and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, and height, in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Maintaining patient confidentiality and understanding HIPAA regulations is crucial in this role. You should be comfortable working in a diverse community and demonstrate compassion and respect towards all patients.Additionally, a current CPR certification is necessary, and candidates must pass a background check and a recent TB test to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are met.
