An established, growing multi-specialty healthcare organization is seeking a
Medical Assistant to join its clinical team in Riverhead, NY. This is a great opportunity for a certified MA looking to work in a busy outpatient setting with exposure to a variety of specialties and procedures.
Pay: $22$27.50/hr based on experience.
Responsibilities- Complete patient intake and document medical histories.
- Take and record patient vital signs.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist physicians with procedures.
- Perform venipuncture, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens.
- Update patient records in the EMR system.
- Maintain medical equipment and follow infection control protocols.
- Assist with additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.
Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
- Medical Assistant certification NOT required.
Schedule & Benefits- MondayFriday, 5 shifts per week.
- 8.5-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM.
- No nights or weekends.
- Overtime eligible.
