Position Overview
Elite Clinical Network is seeking for full time Medical Assistant to join our dynamic and collaborative research team in San Jose, California. This role is ideal for a certified Medical Assistant with strong clinical and administrative skills who is passionate about advancing medical knowledge and providing high-quality patient care in a research-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Research Support
Learn and adhere to specific clinical trial protocols, ensuring compliance by all involved staff and participants.
Assist in recruiting, screening, and enrolling research subjects according to study inclusion/exclusion criteria.
Perform vital signs, EKGs, injections, and assist with medication administration as required by protocol.
Prepare and maintain exam rooms for research visits, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for procedures.
Extract and verify data from medical records to accurately complete case report forms (CRFs).
Collaborate with research nurses and principal investigators to verify participant eligibility.
Administrative Duties
Schedule and coordinate research appointments and patient visits.
Answer incoming calls and provide professional communication with patients and study sponsors.
Support patient recruitment efforts through outreach and follow-up.
Maintain organized documentation and assist with regulatory compliance as needed.
Qualifications
High School diploma or higher
Medical assistant license or certification required
Medical assistant relevant experience
Experience with phlebotomy or phlebotomy license preferred
Prior experience in a clinical research or medical office setting preferred.
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and basic clinical research procedures.
Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
