Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Training will be provided to the right applicant who demonstrates a positive attitude, professionalism, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn all aspects of the ENT, Allergy, and Audiology field.Medical Assistant/Scribe Responsibilities:Answer patient calls and assist with patient questionsTake and record patient vital signsAssist with obtaining authorizationsSchedule diagnostic tests and surgical proceduresPrepare and maintain exam roomsAssist the physician with patient care and in-office proceduresAssist with prescription-related requests as directedClean and sterilize instruments according to office proceduresAssist with medical documentation and scribingEnter and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)Provide professional and compassionate support to patients throughout their visitRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious Medical Assistant or Medical Scribe experience is preferred, but not requiredPrevious healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience is a plusWillingness to participate in and successfully complete our in-house training program and applicable state requirements, as appropriateWillingness to learn and assist with in-office and surgical proceduresFamiliarity with medical terminology is desiredStrong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voiceStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong organizational and multitasking skillsAbility to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and team membersStrong computer literacy and willingness to learn EMR systemsBilingual is a plusBenefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision: Effective the 1st of the month after 60 days of full-time employmentCompany-paid STD, LTD, and Life: Effective the 1st of the month after 1 year of full-time employment401(k): Effective the 1st of the month after 1 year of employment5 Paid Holidays: Effective immediatelyPTO: Time earned per pay periodPhysical Demands:Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the position or directed by the Manager. Responsibilities may also require the applicant to travel between ENTAAF offices for training and support purposes.
