    We are looking for a Medical Assistant for Baptist MD Anderson located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full time 40 hours weekly position.

    Baptist MD Andersons Cancer Center combines the clinical breakthroughs of the number one cancer center in America and the full resources of North Floridas largest and most preferred health system. Responsibilities of a medical assistant include:

    • Provides assistance to the clinical team including the providers
    • Obtains vital signs
    • Greets and chaperones patients during medical visits
    • Telephone triage
    • Patient education
    • Maintains rooms stock and exam room turnover
    • Maintains medical documentation and patient intake to include preparation of charts
    • Prepare medical equipment for sterilization
    • Assists with clinic procedures including preparation of sterile fields
    • Collects and prepares laboratory specimens
    • Assists with Staple, suture, drain removal as directed
    • Prepare sterile field for in office procedures
    • Manage clinical equipment and supply inventory
    • Serve as a liaison between physicians and other clinical members

    Education & Credential Requirements:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
    • High School Diploma
