Baptist Health is looking to add Medical Assistants to our Primary Care Offices in Jacksonville, Florida and surrounding areas. Candidates will be primarily responsible for back office tasks for a provider, including rooming patients, prior authorizations of medications, assisting with incoming calls and working with Workques. Experience in various specialties is welcome. Certification is a plus but not required.
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:
• Providing nursing assistance to physician • Obtaining vital signs • Greeting and chaperoning patients during medical visit • Maintaining medical documentation • Scheduling care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician • Processing prescription requests and referrals
