Overview

Schedule:

• Full-Time/Days: 40 hours per week

• M-F: 8:00 am-4:30 pm

Location: 550 University Blvd Suite 2007

Requirements:

• Certification is required

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day direction and support to team members to ensure efficient clinic operations.

• Monitor clinic workflow and address barriers or challenges that may impact patient flow.

• Provide real-time coaching, guidance, and feedback to staff members.

• Lead and facilitate daily team huddles.

• Review daily schedules to ensure chart preparation and pre-visit planning have been completed.

• Coordinate workflow adjustments based on staffing, patient volume, and operational needs.

• Serve as a resource for team members regarding process questions and workflow concerns.

• Collaborate with providers and clinic leadership to maintain efficient operations and quality patient care.

Description:

Provides functional guidance to support staff and performs the duties of a medical assistant in accordance with organization standards. Provides coordination of administrative services to ensure smooth operation. May coordinate scheduling, training, and inventory duties. May be responsible for inpatient and outpatient consult activities within assigned location. May perform computerized physician order entry, only if directed by assigned physician.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires graduation from a Medical Assistant program and/or certification from America Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Healthcareer Association (CCMA), National Center for competency Testing (NCMA), and/or American Medical Certification Association (CMAC).
• AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• 2 years' experience as an MA II or III at IUH is required.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required.
• Requires ability to perform multiple task simultaneously.
• Requires basic math and accurate data collection and entry skills.
