Key Responsibilities

·         Record patient histories, vital signs and record information in EMR system.

·         Prepare customers for procedures, including but not limited to pap smears, IUD insertion and removal, esthetician services (botox, laser, etc.), and wellness.

·         Answer customer questions within the scope of the Medical Assistant role and refer clinical questions or concerns to the nurse practitioner when appropriate.

·         Clean and maintain examination and treatment rooms in a timely manner.

·         Process, sterilize and organize instruments daily.

·         Maintain laundry and restock linens, gowns, towels, and other clinical items to ensure adequate supplies are available.

·         Administer medication / injections as directed.

·         Maintain a professional, courteous, and compassionate demeanor during all customer interactions.

·         Perform additional clinical duties as assigned.

·         Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.

·         Proficient with EMR systems and standard computer applications.
