Syndeo Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established cosmetic and surgical practice in Wichita, KS. We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated healthcare professional who is passionate about patient care and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.
This position will provide direct patient support while assisting providers with both clinical and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a medical office setting and be comfortable working with patients throughout various stages of treatment and care.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM – Shifts could run later based on customer needs.
Pay: $19.00/hour DOE
Opportunity to earn a small commission on product and service sales after one year of employment
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical history
- Enter and maintain accurate patient information in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed
- Assist physicians during minor surgical procedures
- Remove sutures and provide post-procedure patient care
- Operate and maintain office laboratory equipment
- Educate patients on available products and services
- Support product and service sales initiatives
- Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting required
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong communication and patient service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Plastic surgery experience
- Experience with suture removal
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Medical Assistant Certification
