Position Title: Medical BillerPosition Summary & Responsibilities:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team full-time. In this role, you will be responsible for charge entry and processing, patient registration, managing patient aging reports, and handling patient inquiries via phone. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the medical claims follow-up process and be proficient in assisting with patient balance collections.Experience with Practice Management Systems is essential, and proficiency in Epic and Athena is highly desirable.Hourly pay + Quarterly Bonus ProgramPrimary Required Skills:
- Experience with electronic/clearinghouse billing software
- Ability to use health plan websites to verify benefits and address claim issues
- Proficiency in processing charges and patient payments
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Candidate Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of three years of medical billing experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller with in-depth knowledge of medical billing procedures
- Proficiency in ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems
- Strong understanding of insurance guidelines and claim submission processes
- Knowledge of health plan benefits and patient eligibility
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong commitment to attendance and the ability to fulfill an on-site role
