A veterinary hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Director (DVM) to lead its clinical team and help drive medical excellence across the practice. This role combines hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities, offering the opportunity to mentor veterinarians, support team development, and contribute to the long-term success of the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional medical and surgical care to patients
• Mentor and coach veterinarians and clinical team members
• Support medical quality, patient safety, and client satisfaction
• Conduct case reviews and promote continuous clinical improvement
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and developing veterinary talent
• Collaborate with leadership on hospital goals, workflows, and performance
• Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution
• Active veterinary license in good standing
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills
• Passion for mentorship, teamwork, and professional development
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
