Medical Director for our Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF)

Compensation: $150,000 - $220,000 Annual Salary, part time

Position Description

You will serve as the Medical Director across two skilled nursing facilities in the Thomaston, CT area, providing clinical oversight of the advanced practice providers and rounding on residents as the attending physician. This is a part time, in person position with a flexible schedule built around your availability, and there are no nights, no weekends and no on-call. You will partner with facility leadership on quality, regulatory compliance and care planning while practicing independently of facility staff.

Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut MD or DO license and DEA registration
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatrics
• Experience in skilled nursing, long term care or geriatric primary care preferred
• Comfortable supervising nurse practitioners and physician assistants

Responsibilities:

• Serve as Medical Director for two skilled nursing facilities in the Thomaston area
• Provide clinical oversight and supervision of the advanced practice providers
• Round on residents and manage chronic conditions and acute changes in condition
• Partner with facility leadership on quality, regulatory compliance and care planning
