Required Skills:
- Proven experience in medical laboratory settings, specifically blood bank procedures.
- Strong knowledge of blood specimen collection, processing, and analysis.
- Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with medical teams.
- Ability to thrive in high-paced, trauma environments.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with automated blood bank instruments.
- Knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Additional certifications such as ASCP or equivalent.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in trauma or emergency settings.
- Prior blood bank experience is mandatory.
Other Requirements:
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT).
- Ability to work 5/8 hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Willingness to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Travel or licensure reimbursement may be available when applicable.
