Location: Los Angeles, CA (In-Office)

Practice Area: Medical Malpractice / High-Value Settlement & Discovery

Compensation: $175,000 – $200,000 Base + bonus compensation

Looking for a high-earning, sophisticated litigation role without the unpredictability of a trial schedule? We are partnering on a confidential search for an elite California firm seeking an experienced Plaintiff Medical Malpractice Associate.

This firm offers a highly structured environment with a low caseload (12–16 cases per year) and top-tier support staff, allowing you to focus on strategic discovery and high-value settlements.

Why Consider This Role?

  • Lucrative Earning Potential: Competitive base salary paired with a direct 3.5% cut of attorney fees.

  • Low Caseload: Quality over quantity—oversee just 12–16 high-level cases annually.

  • No Trial Requirements: Focus on pre-trial strategy and negotiation; 99% of cases settle prior to trial.

  • Efficient Workflow: Conduct ~99% of depositions virtually from the office with full administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee assigned medical malpractice cases through all discovery and negotiation phases.

  • Strategic case development and high-level virtual deposition practice.

  • Negotiate multi-million dollar settlements on behalf of plaintiffs.

Candidate Requirements

  • Licensure: Active California State Bar membership in good standing.

  • Experience: 5+ years of litigation experience (Plaintiff or Defense background welcome).

  • Deposition Mastery: Proven elite deposition skills (sample transcripts will be requested during the process).

  • Work Style: In-office presence in Los Angeles with strong organizational abilities.

Benefits Package

  • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision insurance.

  • 401(k) retirement plan.

  • Full paralegal and administrative support team.
