About the Role: Pediatrics Gastroenterology & Nutrition of Tampa Bay is looking for a motivated and experienced Medical Office Supervisor to lead our dedicated front office team in Tampa, FL. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key leadership role in a specialized pediatric practice where your work directly impacts the health and well-being of children and families in our community.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily front and back office operations to ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience
Supervise, train, and mentor medical office staff including scheduling, performance reviews, and conflict resolution
Manage patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and billing workflows
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare office policies and procedures
Coordinate with physicians and clinical staff to optimize patient flow and appointment management
Handle patient concerns and escalations with professionalism and empathy
Monitor office supply inventory and manage vendor relationships as needed
Requirements:
2+ years of supervisory or management experience in a medical office setting
Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, and insurance verification processes
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and practice management software
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulatory standards
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced pediatric specialty environment
Bilingual a plus
