    Medical Oncologist / Hematologist — Full-Time

    Schedule: Full-time | 80 hours per pay period | Shift: As Assigned

    We are partnering with a respected healthcare organization in Oregon to hire a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist for a full-time role within its Cancer Center. This is a strong fit for a physician who values evidence-based, compassionate care, enjoys collaborating closely with referring providers, and wants the opportunity to help grow and shape an oncology service.

    What you'll do

    As part of the clinical patient care team, you'll:

    • Deliver high-quality medical oncology/hematology care consistent with your training and licensure
    • Provide compassionate, evidence-based treatment and an exceptional patient experience
    • Communicate clearly and proactively with referring physicians and internal clinical partners
    • Help support a collaborative, growth-oriented team environment
    • Document and work efficiently in the EMR (EPIC)

    What we're looking for

    Credentials/licensure

    • Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges (credentialing/privileging required)
    • Board Certified (or board eligible within the past 2 years)
    • Oregon medical license (or ability to obtain, if applicable to your process)

    • Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving
    • Strong written and verbal communication; confident interpersonally with patients and colleagues
    • Team-oriented with a growth mindset; professional and patient-centered
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
    • Comfort with software tools and interfaces; EPIC efficiency preferred
    • Ability to work effectively under stress and changing clinical needs
    • Maintains reliable, consistent attendance

    Experience

    • Relevant practice experience in medical oncology/hematology or an excellent recent graduate
    • Practice-building experience is a plus

    Physical/clinical requirements (role demands)

    This position requires the ability to:

    • Stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
    • Respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs
    • Maintain adequate hearing and visual acuity (including color vision)
    • Use fine motor skills and strong eye-hand coordination
    • Assist patients with mobility/transfer using safe body mechanics
    • Follow standard precautions due to possible exposure to blood and bodily fluids
    • Communicate effectively (reading, writing, speaking in person and by phone)
