Description Summary To assist the clinician in providing medical care to the patients of the Medical Practice.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepares materials, supplies, equipment, and the patient to assist clinician with the patients medical exam.
  2. Obtains the patients history and medical information.
  3. Provides direct patient care as directed by a Registered Nurse or clinician.
  4. Collects and processes specimens as directed by the clinician and performs point of care testing.
  5. Administers medications and vaccinations as directed by the clinician. Instructs the patient and family on how to perform clinician-recommended preventive care, takes prescribed medication, prepares for tests, monitors treatment progress, and notes symptom changes.
  6. Contacts the patient to provide requested follow-up, advises them of test results, or relays clinicians instructions.
  7. Fulfills and adheres to all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  8. Maintains and models the Organizations values.
  9. Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
  10. Performs other duties as required.

Other Information Ability to travel between practices as needed. Required: Active LPN License based on state BLS certification required within 30 days. Working Conditions: Manual significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk. Physical Effort: Sedentary, light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force. Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions.
