Aquino Medical Group in Pasadena, TX is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice. If you thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and love making patients feel at ease, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software
Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
Maintain and update accurate patient records and electronic health records (EHR)
Answer and route incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries
Coordinate referrals and communicate with other healthcare providers as needed
Ensure front desk area is organized, clean, and HIPAA-compliant at all times
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; medical office training or certification a plus
Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare front office setting preferred
Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical scheduling software
Knowledge of medical insurance verification and billing processes
Strong communication skills with a warm, patient-centered approach
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus for serving our diverse patient community
