Medical Receptionist (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Round Rock, TX

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Onsite)

Pay: $20-23/hour

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Job Description

The Medical Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations in a fast-paced clinical setting. This role is responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in through check-out while supporting administrative and scheduling functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out processes
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
• Answer inbound calls, address inquiries, and route messages appropriately
• Collect copays and maintain accurate payment records
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information
• Scan and upload documentation into the EMR system
• Support overall front office workflow and assist team members as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of front desk experience in a medical setting
• Experience in family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, or specialty clinics preferred
• Ability to manage a high-volume environment (up to 100 patients/day)
• Familiarity with EMR systems
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Team-oriented with a positive, customer-service-driven attitude
• Open to feedback and adaptable to process improvements
