Remote position (must reside within 50 miles of the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center or affiliated clinics)

As a Medical Support Assistant, you will:
Answer incoming calls and assist Veterans with scheduling needs
Check patients in and update demographic information
Coordinate appointments and recall reminders
Monitor scheduling reports and ensure appointment accuracy
Support patient care teams with administrative functions
Process incoming and outgoing correspondence, faxes, and mail
Maintain patient privacy and HIPAA compliance
Utilize VA systems and Microsoft Office applications to support clinic operations
Assist with Community Care scheduling and Veteran access programs

Strong customer service and communication skills
Experience with appointment scheduling, patient registration, or healthcare administration preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to multitask and work independently in a remote environment
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems preferred
Previous VA or federal healthcare experience is a plus
