Position Type: Contract (Temp-to-Hire)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | 40 hours per week
Contract End Date: February 26, 2027
Job Summary:- The Medical Records Assistant is responsible for coordinating medical records requests, obtaining Attending Physician Statements (APS), processing documentation, and assisting with the distribution of medical records to clients. This role involves communicating with healthcare facilities, copy services, applicants, and clients to ensure requests are handled accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate medical records requests by communicating with healthcare facilities, copy services, applicants, and clients to obtain Attending Physician Statements (APS) in a timely manner.
- Prepare and distribute requests, authorizations, and special authorizations as required.
- Download, review, organize, sort, and file medical records to maintain accurate documentation.
- Assist with distributing medical records to clients and ensure records are processed appropriately.
- Process payments associated with medical records requests.
- Prepare FedEx shipping labels and arrange mailing requests as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations and meet customer requirements.
