Downriver Medical Associates has a unique opportunity for a Medical Scribe to join our team!
The position is full time and is located at our off-site inpatient facility in Detroit as a medical scribe to the provider. Some weekends required. The ideal candidate will be able to critically think, is reliable, and has excellent communication skills.
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Scribe required. Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
Summary: Document the physician dictated patient history, physical examination, family, social, and past medical history as well as document procedures, lab results, dictated radiographic impressions made by the supervising physician and any other information pertaining to the patient's encounter in the clinical medical setting. Responsible for answering messages, monitoring physician in basket, sending medications and refilling. Sending all orders request by practitioner.
