Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Experience with basic EKG and ability to interpret telemetry strips required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: 3 years of experience preferred. Previous experience in a very busy hospital preferred. Charge experience preferred.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Daily parking costs $15+/day; on- and off-campus monthly parking options range from $95 - $120.
Unit Details: The unit provides backup coverage for neurology, stroke, and neurosurgery, including 2-4 beds for Candida auris patients.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday); holidays rotate with permanent staff. Day shifts are 7a-7p; arrive 15 min early for shift change. Scheduling is flexible; self-scheduling is not available.
Floating Requirements: The clinician is first to float. RNs must be open to floating and have experience with cardiac drips.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days. Maximum consecutive days off: 5
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
