Progeny HR Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Technologist Lead to join our team in Bradenton, FL. In this role, the Medical Technologist Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, including performing and supervising a variety of laboratory tests and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience working as a Medical Technologist.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the laboratory, including scheduling and assigning tasks to laboratory staff

- Perform and supervise a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including but not limited to hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank

- Ensure accuracy and quality control of all laboratory testing and results

- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments

- Train and mentor laboratory staff on new procedures and protocols

- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results

- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies

- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards

- Participate in continuing education and stay updated on new technologies and advancements in the field

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field

- Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from a recognized accrediting agency

- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Medical Technologist

- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred

- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and instruments

- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Familiarity with laboratory information systems and electronic health records

- Must be able to work flexible hours and on-call as needed
