This 383-bed acute care facility in Bradenton, FL — a nine-time "100 Top Hospital" and "100 Top Cardiovascular Hospital" — is hiring a Medical Technologist Lead to serve as a senior clinical presence across its laboratory departments.

The role. Working under the direction of a laboratory supervisor, manager, or director, the Medical Technologist Lead performs both stat and routine clinical laboratory testing across Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Chemistry, and Hematology, applying independent judgment to ensure timely and accurate results. On the evening or night shift, this position serves as the primary laboratory point of contact for the facility's trauma team — a distinctive responsibility that requires both technical fluency and composure under pressure. The Lead also handles non-technical duties such as specimen collection, processing, and referral testing as needed, and must maintain active licensure and demonstrated competency across at least five laboratory sections. This role carries meaningful accountability for service quality, regulatory compliance, and the integration of intra- and inter-departmental activities.

What we're looking for.
  • Associate degree in Science required; Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology preferred
  • State of Florida Medical Technologist License (active, required)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a medical laboratory
  • 3 or more years of experience with demonstrated competency scheduled across at least 5 laboratory areas
  • Technical proficiency in Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Chemistry, and Hematology

Schedule. Evening or night shift.

Compensation. $30.34 - $42.47/hr
