GTR recently purchased PTR in West Chicago and we are looking to add additional mechanics to our team!

As a well-know Carrier Refrigeration, Volvo, and Hino, TICO and now Isuzu dealership, we have 16 locations throughout Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin and Tennessee.

Job Duties:

• Perform mechanical repairs on medium-duty diesel trucks
• Perform all levels of Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure they are properly working
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using testing equipment such as laptop computers, motor analyzers, temperature and pressure gauges
• Identify warranty repairs and document properly on the repair order
• Keep work area clean and safe
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Competencies:

• Knowledge and experience with mechanics or a related field
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair medium duty vehicles
• Detail oriented
• Team Player
• Flexibility to meet changing demands

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid CDL driver''s license with clean driving record (preferred)
• 2+ years'' experience as a Truck Technician or similar position (preferred)
