Member Services Representative Highlights
Pay rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Work setting: Local Akron/Canton area required; in-person orientation/training ~4 weeks, with possible additional in-office days during the contract
Position type: Temporary / Seasonal
 
Responsibilities
Provide personalized member support (phone, electronic, and occasional in-person) for questions related to enrollment, benefits, eligibility, billing, claims, authorizations
Accurately document member inquiries/complaints in the tracking system and route for resolution as needed
Meet departmental production and quality standards for written and phone communication
Deliver empathetic, professional, customer-first service in every interaction
Maintain working knowledge of health insurance practices, rules, and internal systems (e.g., Amisys, Macess)
Use independent judgment and problem-solving to address member concerns while following policies/procedures
Maintain confidentiality of member and business information and comply with all regulatory/company policies
 
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED required (college experience preferred)
2+ years of customer service experience in a call-center, customer service, and/or administrative support environment
Medicare and/or health insurance background strongly preferred
Comfortable with Windows-based navigation and documentation workflows
Strong written/verbal communication skills with a calm, service-oriented phone presence
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
Able to operate standard equipment (computer + headset); solid typing and basic technical skills (Wi-Fi/VPN/audio controls)
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods; occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
 
Benefits Available
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
