This position also serves as a liaison for therapy services needed by hospital inpatients or emergency room patients who are awaiting placement on a Behavioral Health Unit.Thetherapistis responsibleforplanning and deliveryof therapy and educational servicesto patients,and,if indicated, totheirfamilies andsignificantothers; monitoring and management of patientbehaviorin order tomaintainthetherapeuticenvironment and patient safety; performsadmission, dischargeand utilization reviewfunctions;andeffectively marketstheprogram. Responsibilities:(25%)*Responsible forthe assessment,development, implementation,evaluationand documentationofpatient treatment programs.
(20%)*Assesses patientsupon admissionand collects data to determine thecurrentstatus ofpatients.
(20%)*Participatesimproving the patients' physicalhealthand maintainingtheirsafety in all settings.
(15%)*Screens program applicants as needed in all settings and either provides, or makesrecommendations,forappropriate treatment andsetting.

REQUIREDEXPERIENCE,TRAININGANDSKILLS

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death.
Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position.
Is able to move freely about facility with or without an assisted device and must be able to perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description.
Overall vision and hearing is necessary with or without assisted device(s).
Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching.
