Job Description

Plan, organize, and manage electrical construction projects from preconstruction through completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and resource requirements. Coordinate project activities including design review, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning. Lead weekly procurement reviews to track material orders, submittals, equipment deliveries, and potential schedule impacts. Ensure compliance with NEC requirements, applicable building codes, safety standards, and project specifications. Track and manage material submittals, procurement packages, and long-lead equipment. Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and field personnel to prevent delays and maintain project progress. Review project drawings and specifications to identify gaps, conflicts, or missing information. Prepare and manage RFIs to resolve design and construction issues quickly and effectively. Communicate regularly with field teams to provide direction, clarify scope, and support project execution. Visit job sites weekly to review project status, labor needs, schedules, materials, tools, and outstanding issues. Partner with foremen and field leadership to ensure strong coordination between office and field operations. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and general contractors. Build and maintain positive customer relationships while professionally addressing project challenges. Monitor project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, billing, change orders, and subcontractor payments. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety standards. Attend and participate in regular project meetings and coordination calls. Maintain detailed project documentation including contracts, schedules, RFIs, submittals, permits, inspections, and change orders. Coordinate project closeout activities, final testing, commissioning, and turnover. Champion a safety-first culture across all assigned projects and job sites. Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure OSHA and company compliance. Collaborate with safety personnel to proactively identify and mitigate workplace hazards.

The successful applicant will have experience managing electrical construction or electrical contracting projects. Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and project delivery processes. Knowledge of NEC, OSHA regulations, building codes, and industry safety standards. Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and financial performance. Experience tracking submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate office staff, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to identify issues proactively and develop practical solutions. Proficiency with project management software, budgeting tools, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to travel to project sites and conduct regular field visits. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
