Merchandise Coordinator

TITLE: Merchandise Coordinator - Entry Level
SCHEDULE: On-site
CONTRACT: 6 months with possible extension
PAY RANGE: $19 - $21 per hour on W2

Our client, a leader in the fashion retail industry, is looking to hire a Merchandise Coordinator in the Columbus, OH area.  Russell Tobin is seeking a Merchandise Coordinator who is a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual who plays a key role in supporting cross-functional partners with the product assortment strategy. This role focuses on delivering branded samples to cross-functional partners for milestone moments while supporting the day-to-day operations and organization of the sample library.

The coordinator is expected to understand the product assortment, build strong relationships with partner teams, meet deliverables, and anticipate upcoming needs by leveraging available tools and calendars. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple communication channels are essential. Collaboration, innovation, and a service-oriented mindset are critical to the team's success.
 

• College degree in a related field highly desirable; alternatively, a high school diploma with 1–3 years of experience in a product and/or customer service fashion retail role. (Internships apply towards exp.)
• Experience with MS Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, , Adobe Illustrator, InDesign. FlexPLM and Adobe Acrobat is preferred.
• Exceptional communication, prioritization, collaboration, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize business-critical needs.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Maintain an organized, elevated, and accessible workspace for all sample types by hanging and arranging samples by season, category, style, color, and size.
• Support cross-functional partners—including Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Merchants, Public Relations, and Fashion Office—by fulfilling sample requests for milestone moments, ad hoc needs, and photoshoot activities.
• Pack, ship, and track the location of all sample movements.
• Provide sample availability notes and estimated sample arrival windows each season using InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, and additional brand-specific tools.
• Use branded tools to update sample inventory promptly as samples arrive at the library.
• Provide additional support as needed to meet the needs of the business and partner teams.
