Opportunity: Merchant Services Analyst

HHM Hotels is a leading hotel management and investment company with a portfolio of over 240 hotels and resorts spanning North America. The organization takes pride in operating over 50 independent luxury and lifestyle hotels as well as premium branded hotels in urban and resort markets.

The Merchant Services Analyst will play a critical role in the coordination of merchant ID set-ups, continued communications with the processors, communication with upper management, and supporting field operations.

Sr. Merchant Services Analyst - Director of Merchant Services

Your Focuses

 

• Assist in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with credit card processors, including Elavon, Chase, Amex, Discover, and more.

• Work with the Director of Merchant Services in managing the set-up and maintenance of Merchant ID numbers and the MIDs library of properties, terminal locations, and terminal inventory both for existing hotels and new hotels entering the portfolio. 

• Help oversee the property transition/de-transition process for the Financial Services team as a liaison with Operations – assisting Procurement, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Shared Services, and Sales & Use Tax departments to obtain necessary data.
• Audit fees and charges associated with card acceptance.
• Work collaboratively with other departments as an advocate for a timely resolution of transition issues.

• Prepare or assist in the preparation of various schedules and supporting documents as required.
• Perform special projects and/or other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
• Assist with other team activities, communicating both verbally and in writing with other team members and property-level associates.

 

Your Background & Skills

 

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Experience in banking and field support
• Strong customer service experience
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate skills with Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
