What we offer you: Unparalleled training and development programs Generous employee discounts on dining, retail, amusements and hotels Flexible schedules Multiple health benefit plans to suit your needs Dental, vision, voluntary life, short term disability Paid sick leave Opportunities for advancement Community volunteer opportunities through Landry's League Positive and respectful work environment where diversity is valued Responsibilities Performs multiple uniquely choreographed mermaid shows which include a combination of freediving and SCUBA techniques, depending on the show and character being portrayed Interacts with guests multiple times a day at different locations within the facility, while remaining in character and full costume for durations of up to 2 hours at a time Performs shows in live animal habitats with no separation from the wildlife Maintains cleanliness and organization work in the dive locker and mermaid supply storage areas Communicates issues with equipment and exhibits or animal well-being concerns to the Dive Operations Manager or other designated manager, in a timely manner. Maintains all safety protocols and trains for emergency underwater evacuation/rescue procedures Maintains current CPR/First Aid/ AED and Oxygen Administration certifications (employer provided once hired) Work Environment: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and wild animals in human care that may display natural behaviors around divers Subject to possibility of bites and stings.
