STARTING PAY: $20.90 PER HOUR, INCLUDING 10% SECOND-SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL

• Metal Finishers: Starting at $20.90/hour (base $19.00 + 10%).

Starting pay includes the 10% second-shift differential. Compensation may vary based on experience and demonstrated proficiency.

Help prepare components used in demanding industries—including aerospace and defense, healthcare, and power generation—on a four-day second-shift schedule. If you enjoy hands-on work, paying attention to the details, and seeing the results of your craftsmanship, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Grind, sand, and smooth welds, edges, and metal surfaces using hand tools and powered equipment.
• Remove burrs, rough spots, sharp edges, and other surface imperfections.
• Deburr, polish, and clean fabricated metal components to prepare them for assembly, finishing, or shipment.
• Read and follow blueprints, shop drawings, work instructions, and quality specifications.
• Inspect finished parts for surface defects, dimensional accuracy, and overall workmanship.
• Use grinders, sanders, buffers, and basic measuring tools to achieve required finishes.
• Maintain finishing equipment in safe working condition and report equipment issues.
• Keep work areas clean and organized while following established safety procedures and wearing required PPE.

Experience & Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on metal grinding or sanding experience required.
• At least 1 year of blueprint reading experience required.
• Ability to operate grinders, sanders, buffers, and related metal finishing equipment.
• Ability to read and follow shop drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Basic knowledge of measuring tools, including tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to perform repetitive finishing tasks safely and consistently.
• Reliable attendance, teamwork, and availability for the scheduled second shift.
• Previous manufacturing, metalworking, or metal finishing experience is preferred but not required beyond the specified grinding or sanding experience.
• At least 1 year of MIG welding experience is preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, or hydrostatic pressure testing equipment is preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Manufacturing environment with moving machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Ability to stand for extended periods, frequently bend, reach, and handle metal materials, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive grinding, sanding, and finishing motions. Manual dexterity required to operate finishing equipment and measuring tools. PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection, required.
