About the Role: Acme Metal Spinning Inc is looking for a skilled Metal Spinner to join our team in Minneapolis, MN! This is a hands-on manufacturing role where your craftsmanship and precision will directly shape the quality products our customers rely on. Responsibilities:
Operate manual and/or CNC metal spinning lathes to form metal blanks into finished components
Select and set up appropriate tooling, mandrels, and fixtures for each job
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to meet specifications
Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy
Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on spinning equipment
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop safety standards
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and quality goals
Requirements:
Prior experience in metal spinning, metal fabrication, or a related manufacturing role preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high-quality workmanship
High school diploma or GED equivalent required; vocational or trade school training a plus
