Southwest Airlines Meteorology primarily supports stakeholders in Network Operations Control (NOC) and our stations. On a day-to-day basis, the Meteorology Team works with NOC and other operational Leaders to help manage weather risk to Southwest's network in order to better serve our Customers and fellow operational Employees. Meteorology provides significant value in the decision-making process for all weather events that impact Southwest Airlines.
In this internship, you will be expected to develop forecasting and communication techniques and apply these techniques in several different environments. This internship ends with Interns giving the Daily Briefings to Department Leaders and other key Stakeholders. Internship projects will be assigned based on business needs and Intern skillset.
