Job Description
Metrologist
Pay: $25-$35/hour (DOE) | 1st Shift
We are seeking a detail-oriented Metrologist to support quality assurance, inspection, and process improvement activities in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), PPAP inspections, Gage R&R, and capability studies
- Program and validate CMM and optical measurement systems
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements
- Conduct dimensional inspections and analyze quality data
- Investigate quality issues and support corrective actions.
- Calibrate inspection equipment and assist with internal audits.
- Generate quality reports and support AS9100/ISO 9001 compliance.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of metrology or quality experience in manufacturing.
- Experience with CMM programming (PC-DMIS, Calypso, CMM Manager, or MeasureMind preferred).
- Strong understanding of GD&T, MSA, and statistical analysis.
- Experience using CMMs, micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
