What You''ll Do

The Metrology Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the site's metrology, calibration, dimensional inspection, and laboratory testing systems supporting data center hardware, battery energy storage systems (BESS), transformer components, power distribution equipment, bus bars, and data center cooling systems.

The position serves as the site's primary technical resource for measurement systems, calibration control, CMM and dimensional inspection, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Gage R&R, inspection methodology, laboratory equipment, test methods, measurement traceability, and technical laboratory operations.

The role supports manufacturing processes including sheet metal and structural fabrication, CNC machining, copper and aluminum bus bar manufacturing, pipe/tube fabrication, welding and brazing, chemical pretreatment, powder coating/painting, mechanical/electromechanical assembly, and final product testing.

The Metrology Supervisor works closely with Quality Engineering, QMS, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, NPI, Design Engineering, Maintenance, and external calibration/testing laboratories to ensure measurement and testing systems provide accurate, repeatable, reproducible, traceable, and technically valid results.

The primary objective is to ensure that decisions regarding product acceptance and process capability are based on measurement systems that can be trusted.

• Coordinate and maintain the site's metrology and measurement-control program.
• Establish standardized measurement methods for manufacturing and Quality.
• Ensure measuring equipment is appropriate for the tolerance and characteristic being evaluated.
• Provide technical support for complex dimensional and measurement problems.
• Develop measurement strategies for new and existing products.
• Improve measurement accuracy, repeatability, efficiency, and consistency.
• Establish measurement best practices across production and Quality.
• Support selection and implementation of new metrology technologies.
• Maintain appropriate technical documentation and records.

What You''ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Engineering Technology, Metrology, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Equivalent combinations of technical education and significant metrology experience may be considered.
• Typically 5+ years of metrology, dimensional inspection, calibration, laboratory, or manufacturing quality experience.
• Strong experience with precision measurement equipment required.
• CMM programming experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T required.
• Experience with calibration systems and MSA preferred.
• Experience in metal fabrication, machining, welding, or complex assembly strongly desirable.
• Experience with laboratory testing is beneficial.
• Experience supporting data center, energy storage, transformer, power distribution, cooling, or similar industrial equipment is desirable.
