Mfg. Engineering Technician - Weekend Shift

Location: Farmington, CT

As a CNC Programmer & ME Tech, you will bridge the gap between engineering and production. You will be responsible for setting up, programming and optimizing CNC blanking and forming operations to produce high-quality components and tooling. This position is responsible for developing and writing final product assembly instructions, entering basic process routings, and supporting the transition of new assigned products from engineering concepts to final production processes.

  • Develop and implement complex blanking and forming programs using Trumpf TruTops Boost, TruTops 600, Amada Blank and Dr. Abe software. Determine optimal cutting paths, speeds, and feed rates to maximize productivity.
  • Create nesting plans across multiple part families to maximize sheet utilization and minimize material waste.
  • Analyze time, motion, and machine data to identify bottlenecks and improve production flow. Assist in the development of PFMEA and Lean methodologies.
  • Select correct tooling for blanking/forming and provide hands-on support for machine set-ups. Troubleshoot machining issues directly on the shop floor.
