Description

IMG Companies, a Division of Ichor Systems, is seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing facility in Livermore, CA. This role maintains CNC machines including install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines and related manufacturing equipment. As well as providing support to maintain the facility overall as directed by Maintenance manager.

Position Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment from blueprints, technical manuals, or vendor specifications.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control system failures.

  • Troubleshoot PLCs, servo motors, drives, sensors, and machine controls.

  • Maintains production equipment in safe, optimal operating condition throughout the plant.

  • Communicates the proper care and maintenance of equipment to production personnel.

  • Perform machine alignments, calibrations, and accuracy checks.

  • Replace worn or defective machine components, including bearings, ball screws, spindles, belts, and motors.

  • Maintain maintenance records, repair logs, and spare parts inventory.

  • Collaborate with production personnel to minimize equipment downtime.

  • Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures including those for chemical hazards.

  • Assist in continuous improvement projects to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.

  • Basic computer skills are required to document all repairs in the maintenance repair request program.

  • Report irregularities, machine parts and items needed by/for other departments to maintenance crew leader.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Possess good mechanical knowledge and abilities to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

  • Understand DC and AC principles and components including motors.

  • 3+ years of CNC machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of CNC machines such as mills, lathes, machining centers, and grinders.

  • Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or Mitsubishi CNC controls.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V.

  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication systems, and mechanical power transmission.

  • Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings.

  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and maintenance tools.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated understanding of EHS rules and regulations.

  • Analytical approach to problem solving.

  • Must be flexible and able to work individually and with a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of quality tools used in the manufacturing industry, aerospace or defense a plu; and equipment, and maintenance practices.

  • Must be able to handle frequent bending, twisting, crouching, squatting, and kneeling, push/pull/move/lift up to 50lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Mitsubishi).

  • Welding and fabrication experience.

  • Industrial robotics troubleshooting experience.

  • CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience.

  • Forklift, aerial lift, or crane certification.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical School or Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of CNC machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, squat, twist, crouch, kneel, reach, push, pull, carry, climb ladders, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, coolant, dust, temperature variations, and moving machinery.

The business site where this position is located is an ITAR-compliant operation. Due to ITAR regulations, Ichor Systems is only able to employ US Persons. For candidates based in California: The pay range for this position is $22.26 - 37.84 per hour, non-exempt.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
