Department Overview

The Accounting Department produces monthly financial statements and variance analysis. Major activities include: maintaining financial statements with generally accepted accounting principles, monthly posting of operations performance, reconciling general ledger accounts, fixed asset reporting and capital spending tracking, managing the annual financial audit, completing external requests for information, and reporting structure and system maintenance.

Position Summary

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the accounting and tax area. Responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the General ledger, reconciling all sub ledger, reviewing account reconciliations, preparation of monthly financial statements, tax reporting coordination of the annual external audit and other periodic federal and state audits, coordination of tax audits and staff supervision.

License/Certification/Registration:

  • CPA certification required

Education:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Accounting required

Experience:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • 2 years of leadership experience
  • Prior experience with PeopleSoft Financials is a plus
  • Leadership, specifically developing staff and delegating to appropriate level

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee's scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
