Job Summary

The Global Business Services - Accounting Manager performs complex accounting tasks for the general ledger and financial statements. Supervises and reviews the accounting activities of professional employees and an outsourced global business process organization. Participates closely in preparing financial statements for assisted entities. Establishes a proactive working relationship with the service provider, facility CFOs, their teams, and other departments. Trains and manages team members, including special project teams, whether employed or outsourced.

Essential Functions of the Role

• Manages the accounting function for an assigned region or area of responsibility.
• Supervises employed staff, as well as outsourced staff.
• Oversees monthly close process.
• Reviews financial statements and performs financial analysis.
• Performs final review of account reconciliations and provides feedback as appropriate.
• Manages accounting audits both internally and externally, interacting with external auditors and internal auditors.
• Prepares financial statements and underlying help.
• Acts as liaison with facility CFO and outsourced vendor.
• Helps in resolving reconciling items and business process issues.
• Elevates issues and communicates relevant financial information to other departments including tax and government finance.

Key Success Factors

• Master''s degree in accounting or 150 semester hours. This includes 30 semester hours of upper-level accounting courses and 24 upper-level related business hours from a board-recognized college or university.
• 5 Years of Experience; Public Accounting preferred.
• Proven knowledge of GAAP standards.
• Ability to perform accounting research.
• Experience with leading accounting work and process improvements.
• Ability to manage a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train others.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EDUCATION - Masters'' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
• EXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Cert Public Accountant (CPA)
