Mid-Level Financial Analyst

We are seeking a qualified Mid-Level Financial Analyst in Arlington, VA. This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote work situations. This is a 100% on-site, in-office position.

Position Description: 

The selectee will perform as the Decision Technologies Financial Analyst for a US Navy Weapons Engineering and Program Acquisition Support contract. 

YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE

Responsibilities 

·       Providing advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets

·       Measure organizational performance; assess the effects of various programs and policies on the budget

·       Examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives

·       Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization’s spending

·       Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders

·       Manage finances across multiple funding types

·       Track budgets, costs, and variances

·       Produce executive summaries

·       Conduct financial reporting and analysis of financial issues and customer requirements

·       Interpret and apply financial management principles

·       Apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals

Required Qualifications 

·       Mid-Level: 4-10 years’ experience as a contracts or program analyst for a Government program office

·       Knowledge of Navy-specific financial systems such as ERP, MSIL, and NEPS

·       An active SECRET clearance

Desired Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline

·       Direct experience as a financial analyst with NAVSEA or PEO IWS program offices

·       Experience working with financial actions and task tracking for ACAT-1/2/3 acquisition programs.

·       Ability to work effectively with team members and subcontractors from various technical, acquisition, and administrative disciplines

·       Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills

·       Ability to develop and deliver coherent and concise customer presentations

Travel Requirements:

·        Limited travel requirements (<10%)
