Mid-Level to Senior Associate, Employment Litigation

About the Role

Join a California employer-side labor and employment law practice as an associate handling matters from inception through resolution. You will manage litigation independently while working with a collaborative team and advising employers on workplace issues.

What You'll Do

• Manage California employment litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage-and-hour claims, PAGA, and class actions.
• Develop case strategies and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
• Take and defend depositions and represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Represent employers in matters before agencies, including the DLSE and NLRB.
• Advise employer clients on compliance, risk avoidance, and day-to-day workplace issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to client and business development activities as interested.

What We're Looking For

• 3 to 8 years of California employer-side employment litigation experience, including single-plaintiff matters and defense of wage-and-hour class actions, PAGA actions, or collective actions.
• Active California Bar membership in good standing and a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Ability to manage matters independently, draft litigation documents, take and defend depositions, and handle hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Knowledge of FEHA, PAGA, and California wage-and-hour law, with sound judgment, initiative, and strong client service skills.
• Collaborative working style and a stable work history.
• Familiarity with Westlaw, LexisNexis, Microsoft Office, and Zoom.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $170,000 to $250,000 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and paid parental leave. Visa sponsorship is not available.
