Mid Software Test Engineer

Mid Software Test Engineer (Automated Testing)
Location: Huntsville, AL (On-site)
Type: Contract (Contract-to-hire)
Pay: $77–$85/hr (W2)
Clearance: Active Secret preferred; must be able to obtain/maintain

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain automated test frameworks and infrastructure
• Plan and execute test strategy, integration testing, and formal qualification testing
• Partner closely with software engineers to improve quality and release readiness
• Create/review test documentation following engineering standards
• Help mentor junior test engineers and learn from senior team members

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS, Software/Computer/Electrical Engineering, Math, etc.) with 3.0+ GPA
• 4+ years relevant experience (or 2+ years with an MS)
• Experience testing complex software systems and delivering automated test solutions
• Coding experience in C#/.NET, C, C++, Java, Python, or Ruby
• Strong communication skills (able to work with technical teams and stakeholders)

Nice to have

• UI test automation, embedded systems testing
• CI/CD, containers, microservices
• Familiarity with standards like IEEE 12207, CMMI, MIL-STD-882E, DO-178C/DO-278, RMF
• MATLAB/Simulink testing, MBSE/SysML, MOSA
