Purpose of Role:
Marex is seeking a Middle Office Associate who is responsible for providing full and comprehensive support to the financial futures and equity derivatives teams on a global basis ensuring the control and regulation aspects of the function are adhered to at all times. You will be able to work independently and leverage partnerships throughout the organization to accomplish business objectives.

This position sits within the Operations Futures Clearing Department, which is a vital middle-to-back-office function responsible for managing the post-trade lifecycle of futures and options transactions. Acting as the central liaison between clients, executing brokers, and clearinghouses, the department ensures that all trades are accurately verified, processed, and settled in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- A key member of the middle office providing comprehensive support to the financial futures front office and clients. Report and escalate issues timely to the Head of the team as well as relevant senior management of the Desk.
- Daily BAU (Business As Usual) activities include, but not limited to, reconciling trade positions and flows, managing trade lifecycles, sending trade confirmations and client statements, dealing with errors and ensuring all positions are flat hourly, as well as making sure all relevant trades are reported correctly to meet FCA, NFA and other regulatory frameworks.
- Contributing to the establishment of new controls, enhancement and automation of existing reconciliation tools and processes.
- Work closely and partner with finance, treasury, risk, audit and compliance departments.
- Maintain detailed operating procedures for the team and train new joiners to ensure business continuity and minimize staff risk.
- Trade allocations on various futures markets including LIFFE, EUREX, CME, CBOT and all major Asian markets.
- Operating appropriate controls to capture and resolve trades not claimed within given timescales.
- Validation of daily volumes and P&L on behalf of the team of brokers.
- Working on projects for new system initiatives to meet the requirements of the trading team and our clients.
- Onboarding of new voice and electronic (DMA) execution clients.
- Assist with the set-up of new brokers that join our global team, working closing with the back office and trade support.
- Build relationship with our software vendors in order to troubleshoot any problems or any enhancements that we may require.

- Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.

Skills and Experience
- Experienced working in a similar middle office / operations role in the financial services industry.
- Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
- Good knowledge of the ATEO/TT suite of products (TEO, LISA).
- Understanding of trade flow and processes of financial futures middle office.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
- Proven independent problem solving and analytical skills.
Salary Range: $60,000 to $90,000 per year base salary and eligible for discretionary bonus.
