We are seeking a compassionate Middle School History Teacher to join our team. We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused educator to help inspire confidence, curiosity, and achievement in a middle school learning environment. The ideal candidate is committed to creating an inclusive classroom, supporting diverse learning needs, and helping students build a strong foundation in core history concepts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standard-aligned history lessons for middle school students.
- Create a positive, respectful classroom environment that supports learning and student growth.
- Differentiate instruction to meet a range of academic abilities and learning styles.
- Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, tests, and other evaluation methods.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding and skills.
- Develop and implement classroom management strategies that promote engagement and accountability.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to support student success.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
- Communicate clearly with students and caregivers regarding academic progress and expectations.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and other activities that support instructional excellence.
Qualifications
- All employees at MCA shall be active members of a Christian church and must sign a statement of commitment to MCAs vision, mission, objectives and statement of faith.
- Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification, as required by the state of Indiana.
- Strong knowledge of subject and instructional best practices.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, approachable, and engaging manner.
- Commitment to supporting student achievement and fostering a positive classroom culture.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff.

- Experience using technology to enhance instruction and student learning.
- Ability to adapt instruction to support both enrichment and remediation.
- Experience teaching high school or middle school history.
