Position Summary

What will your role be?

As a teacher, you will be responsible for implementing the curriculum, maintaining a positive classroom culture, using assessments to inform instructional practice, and contributing to the educational and social development of all students through culturally relevant teaching practices. U Prep teachers use district resources in an efficient and responsible manner and participate in professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively participate in professional development opportunities and implement best practices acquired that focus on instruction and high student achievement.
• Provide instruction that is culturally responsive and culturally sustaining.
• Build relationships with students to create a positive, structured learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow
• Actively engage parents in the learning process and work collaboratively with families
• Use data to refine lesson plans and inform instructional practices
