Middle School Science Teacher to join our team for the 2026 2027 school year in Cleveland, Ohio.
This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is enthusiastic about science and committed to helping students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry skills. The ideal candidate will create engaging learning experiences that encourage curiosity, promote academic growth, and make science accessible and exciting for middle school students.
We are looking for an educator with strong classroom management skills, effective instructional strategies, and a commitment to creating a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment.
What You'll Do
Develop and deliver engaging science lesson plans aligned with Ohio academic standards and curriculum objectives.
Teach middle school science concepts through hands-on experiments, demonstrations, projects, and interactive activities.
Encourage scientific inquiry, critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning.
Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate students with varying academic abilities and learning needs.
Assess student understanding and monitor academic progress through assignments, classroom activities, and assessments.
Adjust instructional strategies to address learning gaps and support student achievement.
Implement effective classroom management strategies and establish clear classroom expectations.
Incorporate technology and supplemental instructional materials to enhance science instruction.
Collaborate with school leadership, colleagues, and families to support student learning and development.
Maintain accurate student records, grades, and academic progress reports.

Qualifications
Valid Ohio teaching license or substitute teaching license required, or the ability to renew an existing license.
Previous middle school teaching experience preferred.
Science teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge of Ohio academic standards and middle school science curriculum preferred.
